Workshop: Let’s talk about gender biases

31 - March - 2023

Cognitive bias is a false or inaccurate perception about a group of people or a set of beliefs. These perceptions are often based on sociocultural stereotypes that we have been brought up with and internalized, and that are related to characteristics such as race, sex, gender, religion, or sexual orientation. Sometimes we are aware of our biases, but sometimes we don’t even know we have them. The latter are unconscious biases.

Gender bias is giving preferential treatment to one gender over another based-on stereotypes and not on real differences. Therefore, it is one of the key aspects to address when educating and working on 360º discrimination and inclusion measures.

In that line, following Hernández & Cia.’s commitment to create a truly diverse and inclusive workplace, on March 30th, we offered the workshop “Let’s talk about gender bias”. The meeting was aimed at all members of the firm and was given by a D&I expert.
